| Chronic Pain Shrinks People's Brains January 13, 2008
Pain causes an unexpected brain drain, according to a new study in which the brains of people with chronic backaches were up to 11 percent smaller than those of non-sufferers.
People afflicted with other long-term pain and stress might face similar brain shrinkage, said study leader A. Vania Apkarian of Northwestern University.

I had a baby girl several months ago and it was a difficult delivery. I heard this can often be the cause of ear infections, tummy distress, or irritability in babies. Even though I am breastfeeding, my little girl is experiencing all of these symptoms and I am very concerned. I do not want to keep giving her medication. I have heard Network Care is amazing for infants. Can you help me?

The recent news about Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), a drug therapy used by millions of women, has "shocked the medical system" according to the New York Times. The drugs comprising HRT had never been properly studied and when finally investigated in a large placebo controlled trial it was revealed that women on HRT had increases in breast cancer, heart attacks, strokes and blood clots. As with most issues, there are two sides to the story. Unfortunately with the issue of vaccinations we rarely get the other side. I strongly encourage parents to become informed on all aspects of immunization before they inoculate their children. Many good books have been published to increase awareness of the "big picture" of vaccinations.
